Yo dude, thinking about you all the time from many miles away. Looks like there's a chance I spend more time in the states next year (Cali perhaps) so our glorious reunion is surely on it's way. Keep doin exactly what you're doing.

Hey Evan-
Clay Wolflick here, hope all is well. Megan and I have been thinking about you and are both amazed at how far you have come. I want you to know, that I've always thought of you as one of the most positive, adventurous and kind hearted people I have ever met. Keep reaching for your dreams. Peace.

Hi Evan,
I thought I'd let you know that Ray Green, that former US Eagles guy I work with that sent you a note a couple weeks back, just blew out his ACL while training for a reunion match in Philly with some of his friends / teamates.

I guess we can never control when the tough breaks come. But you're spirit is testimony that we can control how we react to them.

Loved the sit ups!

Hey, Evan--

Sit ups--how cool is that? Have you asked your mom and dad to do a few w/you? (Alexa gets off, this one time...)

We can't wait to see you again...We figure that there are only a few times in one's lifetime that one gets to see an inspiration like you!

Love you,

Janet & Hartley

Hey Evan,

Kayvan and I are so happy to hear that you are making such great progress! Keep it up, friend! We often think of you and send you our best wishes.

Evan! Oh my goodness! I just found out about this. So glad you are so much more than just okay, you are brilliant! I think that is the only deserving word. At least for now. Stay strong--I know you will.
I'll be keeping up with your progress and cheering you on, buddy.
Sending lots of prayers, love and positive thoughts your way!

Hey Ethan - I've been admiring your spirit and progress from afar. I work w/ Carolyn's father, Bill.

As a former rugger w/ a couple of career ending injuries that I made comebacks from - I commend your drive, presence and even the guts it takes to look this situation straight in the eyes and make the most of it.

I've never met you and you inspire me. My only advice - allow yourself the time to heal properly before you are off on your next adventure. I never fully appreciated that the body actually needs time to do its healing.

Your a badass. Good luck with your recovery. -RG

Dear Evan,

Wonderful updates and progress! Keep setting and meeting your goals. And lots of patience with yourself in between (the toughest part :-)

Wishing you continued progress and as you move toward tougher, greater challenges. So great to see your recovery as it happens -- inspiring!

Keep it going'!

Sincerely,

Jim

Evan,
Since I met you in Second Grade, you've been the toughest guy I know. That remains the case today--thank you for proving it to all of us. Keep working hard; your commitment and tenacity are paying off day by day. It is a testament to you, that you are not even going to let this curb your worldly aspirations; It'd take a hell of a lot more to stop YOU from moving forward.

Evan,

Honestly, I had NO idea that you were injured. Somehow Columbia kicked me out of my cubmail once and for all, and I didn't get the memo.

It doesn't surprise me, however, that you would turn a negative event into something equally positive with your weekly blog and scientific approach to physical rehabilitation. It also doesn't surprise me that you have a happy-go-lucky attitude throughout it all. I'm thrilled that you were still able to captain full year as a senior for CURFC.

Good luck with your speedy recovery, I'll be prayin, and ff you're ever in SF or Cali, give me a shout (610.639.7996). I'd love to catch up.

All my best wishes,

Ev, greetings from Hong Kong. As your cousin and frequent partner in business and crime, I immediately knew how you were going to attack this challenge even before getting you on the phone. You're the sturdiest lad I know in both body and spirit, and I truly fear for anything that stands in your way. Can't wait to be back home and near you and the fam so we can huddle up and keep making progress. Up and at 'em.
